Built in the 1920’s, Bush Terminals, as the monumental buildings  became called, still houses a mix of manufacturing, warehousing and distribution firms.  The complex was recognized as one of the first industrial parks in the nation and became a model for other urban industrial centers. It still remains a prominent  and well recognized  feature of the Brooklyn waterfront. Prospect Expressway, one of Brooklyn’s major commercial arteries, passes right by the Terminals on the way to the Battery Tunnel.
