My Neighborhood Acrylic/ canvas 24x30”2003
This is, or more correctly, was my neighborhood! This is East 16th St between Ave. I and Avenue J. There’s the lot were I played baseball and the men playing Bocce Ball every weekend. The park with the Gazebo...Kubrick’s market...Silver Rod drugstore...The Colony Luncheonette. The neighborhood is still vibrant and exciting- warm and friendly- just like it was when I grew up there. Let a new generation enjoy Midwood just as much as I did.
