NO BEARS AT
Many a vacation for Brooklynites was spent in the “mountains”. Of course, we generally refer to the “mountains” as the Catskills and its hotels. But their must have been (not me) some who ventured further up north to “enjoy” REAL nature rather than “succumb” to the luxury of golf courses and nightclubs.
A traditional centerpiece of a traditional Brooklyn neighborhood—The JUNCTION of two major Avenues. A subway station (the old IRT that took me all the way up to college at 116th and Broadway), a luncheonette, A florist… And all of this in close proximity to Brooklyn College and, if you recall, Wolfies.
